The units are very heavy and bulky. Please ensure you have adequate access to bring the item into your property. Drivers will leave the unit at the closest accessible point. If the item doesn’t fit into your property, and you would like to return, then we will have to charge for the cost back to us. Important Note regarding Fridges / Freezers / Fridge Freezers & American Fridge Freezers. Please ensure you allow your new appliance to settle for at least 12 hours before switching it on. This is essential to allow the gases and oils to settle inside the compressor after its transit. Switching on too soon may cause damage to the internal workings and prevent your new appliance from working. Please refrain from purchasing your chilled grocery orders until at least 12 hours after you have actually received the item and it has reached the required chilled temperature. Important Note regarding Ovens & Cookers. Please note that legally, we are not permitted to supply the power cables or hoses with the ovens and cookers that we sell. For health & safety reasons, ovens and cookers must be installed by a qualified electrician or qualified gas engineer. Your engineers will ensure they bring with them the correctly sized and rated power cables appropriate for your power supply ensuring you have sufficient fault protection in place either by RCD protection or proving the earth loop impedance is within limits to achieve automatic disconnection of supply. All appliances are tested so washing machines and dishwashers may contain residual water within the pipes from the wet test phase – this is nothing to worry about. Original instruction manuals and other paperwork can often be found supplied with these items, but please appreciate that not all items have travelled with them. However, these can more often than not be downloaded free of charge from the internet by searching under the product model number via Google. The item may be missing its original packaging, or the original packaging has been opened or is no longer sealed. The item may be a factory second, or a new and unused item with minor defects. We cannot guarantee that our graded items come with all of the parts that brand new, packaged items may come with. What we can tell you is that every machine that passes through the NewLife workshop is PAT tested to ensure it is electrically safe, function tested by qualified engineers to make sure all the buttons & functions work, and then valeted to ensure the machine looks and feels its absolute best both inside and out. Items bought and paid will be dispatched within 48 hours (where possible and excludes public holidays). BA, BH, BS, CF, DT, EX, NP, PL, SN, SP, TA, TQ, TR, Wales and Scotland. Items are delivered by GHD on a 2 man service. They will bring the item to a ground floor, first floor or second floor room of your choice. Deliveries to upper floor or underground properties may incur an additional charge. An additional charge may be present for rooms/propertiies on a higher floor. Please remember that when you sign for items you are signing to say you have received them in good condition and in doing so you have waived the right to return them as damaged. Missing parts must be reported within 7 days on retrieval of the product. We endeavour to never send an item out with a vital functioning part missing. Additional feature parts are usually found on most spares websites. We will not be liable for any installtion engineer booking charges due to late deliveries. Please do not book an engineer until you have physically received your product. You are welcome to collect your item from our site in Grantham if you prefer. Same day collection is possible, provoding you give us at least a days notice. Your item will be cleaned, shrink wrapped and secured for transport. Our staff will help load your vehicle. Upon purchasing the item, please confirm when you intend to collect. Please also ensure that you have accepted any counter offers made to you before coming to collect your item. Our site is open for collections Monday to Friday 09.00 – 17:00 (excludes public holidays). It’s a nuisance we know, so this is why we highlight it here! If you choose to cancel your order up to any point before the item is despatched this is not a problem at all. If, however, you cancel your order after it has already been collected by the Transport Company, then there is a cost involved with the return of that item to our premises.
